The Economic Forum Office of Makerere University Business School held its 7th Board meeting on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Fairway Hotel. It was chaired by the out going Chairperson and the Principal of MUBS, Prof Moses Muhwezi. The meeting was attended by Board members 2022/23 to 2024/25, among them Deputy Governor of Bank of Uganda, Prof. Augustus Nuwagaba, Deputy Director of Communications Departments at Bank of Uganda, Dr. Bazinzi Natamba, Chairman MTN Uganda, Mr. Charles Mbire and the Chairperson Board UMA Policy Committee, Mr. Richard Mubiru who are external members. The internal Board members in attendance included Dr. Ronette Atukunda who is the Dean Faculty of Economics, Energy and Management Science and Dr. Fred Muhumuza, the Director Economic Forum Office.

This meeting was also intended to elect the new Board Chair, and was presided over by Prof. Moses Muhwezi, and the new Board Chair elect is  Prof. Augustus Nuwagaba. The outgoing Baord Chair through the mandate given to him extended the Baord tenure for the next 3 Financial Years from 2025/26 to 2028/29. The meeting closed with a firm commitment to its  mission of impacting decisions and behaviours of development policy makers and practitioners.
